Green Seas
This exhibition questions the hegemonic conceptions of the relationship between humans and water, especially in the Iberian/Mediterranean context. Through this artistic-documentary photographic project, the photographer invites us to rethink the current irrigation development model from the perspective of place, and particularly the relationship between space, place and value/s in water governance.
The photographer highlights the complex interrelationships between society, technology and biodiversity, driven by a reflection on the impacts of different spatial and political-economic models on the agroecosystems on which they depend.
Ultimately, this exhibition aims to contribute to thinking about how hydro-social places matter to irrigators, scholars, artists and activists, and to their mutual learning in the context of global and local anthropocenoses.
