Urban Picnic | Matadero Madrid

Interactions was the series of workshops organized by the Fundació Enric Miralles in cooperation with other international research programs. The objective was to promote interactions between related programs by constituting a dynamic network of shared experiences.

In interaction with the “Flow Fields” study program of Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio (AAIS), the objective of the workshop was to create an “urban picnic” installation where visitors to Matadero can experience the gastronomic offerings of local chefs selected by AAIS. The main materials would be natural rattan and wicker, with the possibility of including recycled materials from around the project area.
